This week in Playgroup, we learnt about safety at school, both in and out of the classroom.
This September, 18 students and 3 members of staff travelled to Malaysia for a Biology field trip. We first had a one-day stopover in KL before setting off for the Bornean rainforest. In KL we visited the Sri Mahamariamman temple, the Petronas Towers and Petaling Street market.
This year, Dyatmika School is further developing the House system and student leadership skill.
the annual UWRF that will be taking place in Ubud on 23 to 27 October. This year’s theme is Karma.

An impressive attitude towards learning by our Class 10, 11 and 12 students in 2018-19 has been rewarded with fantastic results from the IGCSE, AS and A Level exams.
All 54 students from Class 6 went on camp for two days and one night on 22-23 August 2019.
Camp has always been an exciting experience for students and this year Dyatmika’s Class 11 and 12 students participated in the Senior Camp at Baliwoso, Bangli on 15 – 16 August.
Our wider reading focus will continue this year, with each department having a monthly focus to promote a subject related reading list, key word and book of the month.
Our students are donning their leather jackets, quiffing their hair and getting ready to rock the Dyatmika community in December with our school production of the famous musical play, We Will Rock You, featuring the hits of Queen and based on the book by Ben Elton.
ight from the start of the school year, the students participating in the Community Garden Committee have also been actively planting new crops as well as harvesting some fresh and healthy produce.
With the community garden blooming with vegetables and fruits, there are many opportunities to make tasty and healthy drinks and dishes!
Last week around 40 parents of students in Classes 9 to 12 joined me in the School Library to learn more about Bridge-U, the new online careers and university platform that their children now have personalised access to.
We are looking for new, enthusiastic members to help make the school even better!
