Director of School
Pak Jonathan is an experienced school leader with a passion and track record for leading educational settings that promote high academic standards. He believes excellence and enjoyment for students is achieved through a focus on holistic educational opportunities, nurturing learning environments and student wellbeing.
Jonathan has a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Bath (UK) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education (Honours) from the University of Exeter (UK). With a career spanning almost 30 years so far, he began his teaching career in the UK and then moved overseas to pursue teaching and leadership opportunities at prestigious international schools in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Having worked in leading FOBISIA schools over the years, Jonathan now holds an Individual Membership of FOBISIA and is an advocate of continued professional learning for all staff.
In his spare time, Jonathan likes to lead an active and varied lifestyle with a range of interests. He enjoys surfing, cycling, tennis and swimming. Jon also enjoys listening to music and playing the guitar.
International Head of Primary and Early Years
Pak Nick is a dedicated educational leader who greatly values the Dyatmika community. His vision of education finds its foundations within the strengthening of relationships and through promoting a love of learning across the school community.
Nicholas has a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Management, a post graduate certificate of education in Primary education, a post graduate certificate of education in special educational needs and an academic background in child psychology. He began his teaching career within the British state school system, beginning at an inner city school in East London, then moving to Venezuela to teach internationally. He has always strived to provide his students with the chance of a better future than they ever felt was possible.
During his spare time, Nicholas continues to explore regions of Indonesia as well as trying to stay active and healthy, through various sports, hiking and surfing. He is continuing to learn Indonesian and has a good understanding of Spanish, from his time in South America.
National Head of Primary and Early Years
Ibu Ayu was born in Singaraja and completed S1 education at FKIP UNUD Singaraja Language Studies Program and Indonesian Literature. She went on to study an Education Masters Program in Education Administration at Undiksha University.
Ibu Ayu joined Dyatmika School as a teacher when it first opened and was appointed as National Head of Primary and Early Years at Dyatmika in 2007.
Ibu Ayu has pioneered the Indonesian Children’s Literacy program at the Dyatmika School and often provides training to kindergarten and primary school teachers in Bali and its surroundings. In line with Dyatmika’s mission of being a role model school, Ibu Ayu has also led and presented reading programs at universities and other educational institutions in Indonesia as well as providing training on children’s books to Papua teachers. Ibu Ayu is the editor of an Indonesian children’s book and an author: one of the interactive storybooks she wrote was selected by an organisation called ‘Room to Read’ as a library reading book throughout Indonesia. She has also won competitions as an essay writer and continues to write reading books for children in Bahasa.
Ibu Ayu is dedicated to the success of Dyatmika school, as her many contributions over the years have shown. She is also passionate about promoting ‘Literacy for a better world’ for all children studying in Indonesia.
Ni Putu Martini
National Deputy Head
Ibu Martini was born and raised in Bali. She is an experienced and enthusiastic teacher who believes that students will perform their best when they take ownership of their learning. She nurtures students within a learning environment where choices are provided and appreciated, clear objectives are presented and meaningful feedback is given.
Martini has a Masters in English Language Education from Ganesha University of Education and her teaching career spans more than 10 years in Primary and the Early Years. Martini started her teaching career by teaching in a bilingual primary school in Jimbaran before moving to Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant before her appointment as a Primary teacher. She took part in a teacher exchange program to Methodist Ladies College (Western Australia) in 2017 where she observed best practices in their Primary and Early Years programme. To strengthen her understanding on Early Years education, she recently took a basic short course on national early years education and considers continuous professional development an essential part of being a good teacher.
In her spare time, Martini enjoys listening to music and watching movies. She also loves to cook for her family and spend quality time with them at home.
International Head of High School
Pak Jon C’s career in education began in 2005; teaching and leading both in the UK, and internationally. Since becoming the International Head of High School at Dyatmika, Jon has brought about significant developments in Teaching and Learning, Extra Curricular provision, and community across the whole school.
He has been able to achieve this due to his acute understanding of the needs of his students and his ability to lead by example. He is most proud of the attitude to learning that students show on a day to day basis, developed through a team of teachers with outstanding attitude to their continual professional development.
Jon has a BSc in Finance, and a PostGraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Bristol. JonC has also successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship from UCL, London. Pak Jon is committed to result-driven academic excellence and believes in the symbiotic integration of students’ learning and their cultural environment. Bali has been his home for over a decade and his essence as a school leader has been centred around this wholesome approach; reflected in his work towards Dyatmika’s Learner Profile.
Jon enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He also likes to travel, and in his spare time, he is a keen cyclist and surfer.
National Head of high School
Pak Ketut is the National Head of School with more than 25 years of teaching experience. This ranges from playgroup to executive class at the level of university in various different subjects (Science, Physics, Math, Chemistry, Economics, Sport and also Religion). He believes that teaching in a fun & familiar environment for students is the best way to excavate their potential.
Pak Ketut gained his Master’s Degree in Education from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) in Singaraja and gained his Degree in pure Physics from Airlangga University Surabaya, one of the best universities in Indonesia. Upon graduating he began his teaching career in Surabaya before moving to Bali to work as a lecturer before he joined Sekolah Dyatmika.
Outside of school, he is very active in the community and in his spare time enjoys various different sports such as football, swimming and cycling.
Ida Ayu Kade Surya Utami (Ami)
Deputy Head of High School
Ibu Ami has a Degree in IT from a reputable university in Yogyakarta and a degree in Business Studies from Latrobe University, Bendigo, Victoria which allows her to be an experienced teacher in both fields. Before starting work at Dyatmika, Ibu Ami worked at two other international schools in Bali. Ibu Ami was pleased to be appointed as Deputy National Head of School since this allows her to implement ideas and strengthen her leadership skills.
She strongly believes that the establishment of positive relationships between all members of the community at the school maintains and promotes motivation in the teaching and learning process for both teachers and students.
Outside of school, Ibu Ami enjoys cooking, swimming, and reading. She also loves to take her kids to explore various outdoor activities. But the most precious moment for her is to get together in the comfort of the living room to just listen to her children’s stories.
A. A. Gede Agung Kusuma Yudha
After completing his study at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Indonesia) with a Bachelor of Mathematics Education, Gung Yudha started his professional career as a mathematics teacher at the SMK TI Bali Global and the Ganesha Operation Tutoring Institute in 2010. Two years working at two educational institutions have given him a wealth of experience in managing classes as well as preparing students for exams. As someone who likes challenges, Gung Yudha wanted to find new experiences by joining Dyatmika school as a mathematics teacher. As a teacher, Gung Yudha believes that the key to teaching success is building constructive relationships with students and colleagues.
The world of education is a very dynamic environment, a teacher must be able to adapt to the times. For this reason, Gung Yudha actively participates in professional development activities at every opportunity, both PD activities organised by foreign institutions and government institutions. Currently, Agung Yudha is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Research and Evaluation at the Ganesha University of Education (Indonesia) with a full scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Education.
Born and raised in Bali, Agung Yudha really appreciates the cultural heritage that exists in Bali. On the sidelines of teaching activities, Gung Yudha is actively involved in traditional activities. For him, the most important thing in life is to find balance physically and mentally. For this reason, he always takes the time to spend his free time travelling with his family, relaxing on the beach, or just spending time gardening at home.
Agnes Ikarini Damayanti
Ibu Agnes is an experienced teacher having taught various classes across the Primary School. She believes that schools should be fun learning environments where aspirations and creativity flourish.
Ibu Agnes graduated in Physics Education at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta . She began her career as a Junior High School Teacher in Jakarta, before joining Dyatmika. Ibu Agnes enjoys opportunities to develop professionally and a highlight was joining a teacher exchange program in Melbourne Australia.
Ibu Agnes enjoys listening to music, singing, and watching movies. She also likes cooking and especially trying new recipes.
Agus Dita Saputra
Head of House and Economics Teacher
Pak Agus completed his Economics Education Bachelor’s Degree at Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA), Singaraja in 2011. In 2012 he went to East Nusa Tenggara to teach students in disadvantaged areas, it was a memorable experience followed by a year of teaching in East Nusa Tenggara.
In 2012 Pak Agus continued his studies by obtaining a Teacher Professional Education scholarship before commencing his career as an Economics teacher at Dyatmika School. He is very proud to be a part of Dyatmika School and its amazing community. As a teacher, Pak Agus believes that anything can be learned if we are open to being adaptable.
Outside of school Pak Agus spends time with his family and travelling.
International Class Teacher and Team Leader
Ibu Ali is an experienced primary teacher who is dedicated to helping her students achieve individual success and enjoyment from their time at school. She firmly believes that children flourish and are engaged at school when they feel safe, supported and motivated and she is committed to making this possible for all students in her care.
Ibu Ali has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Geography, a Masters Degree in Marine Environmental Protection and a postgraduate certificate of education. She qualified as a teacher in 2004 and has since taught primary-aged children from a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of learning needs both in the UK and in Vietnam. Ibu Ali has also mentored student teachers wishing to join the teaching profession.
Ibu Ali enjoys activities that involve being on or in the water and has finally achieved a lifelong ambition to become a qualified diver since arriving in Bali. Travel is also a passion and she has been lucky enough to visit more than 30 countries around the world so far. Ali also enjoys walks on the beach with her adopted Bali dog, Bonnie, walking the rescue dogs at Bali Animal Welfare Association, trying new food and continues to try her best to learn Bahasa Indonesia.
Academic & Pastoral Leader and English Teacher
Andy is delighted to be part of the Dyatmika community, working in the Senior School as a Teacher of English and Academic and Pastoral Leader for Class 11 and 12.
Previously Andy has worked in the North East of England at a leading Catholic High school and in Asia at a top international school here in Indonesia. His previous positions include: a Leader of Teaching and Learning, Head of House and Head of English. Andy is a tech enthusiast, a Google Certified, an Apple Distinguished Educator, a Digital Citizenship Educator and is keen to continually develop an innovative approach to transform teaching and learning.
Outside of school, Andy enjoys playing a range of sports and also following the trials and tribulations of Newcastle United Football Club. Andy enjoys travel and the opportunities this allows for experiencing different cultures.
International Class Teacher and Team Leader
Pak Ben is an experienced primary school teacher who believes strongly in giving every child the opportunity to succeed. He believes that a positive and rewarding school experience is essential for students to be successful in their studies and in the future.
Ben has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language and Literature from King’s College London (UK). Ben started teaching over a decade ago in East London, where he worked successfully towards providing all children access to a high quality education, regardless of their background. He taught at several schools in London, as well as providing early literature training for other professionals. During his career so far, Ben has taught every year group from playgroup to class 5.
Ben enjoys playing football and learning languages. He plays the bass guitar and occasionally records and performs music. Ben is currently learning how to paint.
Pak Ben is originally from the north coast of Ireland, but he moved across the Irish Sea to further his studies. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems from the University of Edinburgh Napier, a PGCE from Cornwall SCITT and a Masters in International Education from the University of Sunderland.
Over the past decade of teaching, Pak Ben has taught in schools in Cornwall, England and Indonesia. Since 2015, he has been teaching IGCSEs and A Levels in ICT/Computer Science, Business and PE in Lombok. He was also the Vice Principal during his time in Lombok and has a proven track record for improving results, driving schools forward as well as nurturing the wellbeing of students.
Pak Ben is a keen runner and surfer but enjoys all sports, and played football to a high standard in Northern Ireland before he left to attend university.
Caroline Besterman (Caz)
Head of Music
Ibu Caz is from the UK, where she has been a teacher in high schools since 2005. She completed her degree at Cambridge University (Downing College), and her PGCE at Bristol University. She also holds an ABRSM Diploma (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).
Ibu Caz enjoys all aspects of music, whether performing, composing or listening. Ibu Caz plays the viola and the piano, and in the UK she was principal viola of a leading regional orchestra. Since 2015, Ibu Caz has worked as a grade examiner for the ABRSM. She is a published composer, whose songs based on famous poetry from the First World War have been performed by choirs internationally, and commissioned for large commemorative concerts. Ibu Caz loves working with students on their musical journey. Her aim is for all her students to enjoy music, whatever their musical background or level of ability, and to help them to reach their potential.
Outside of work, Ibu Caz is looking forward to getting to know the culture, language and cuisine of Bali. She enjoys playing music, going to the beach, bodyboarding, swimming and spending time with the family. Her three daughters attend Dyatmika High School.
Head of Science - Physics Teacher
Pak Christian is a global nomad, formerly ‘third culture kid’, having lived in 10 countries. He is a Danish citizen with a mostly US education and two UK Degrees: aBSc (hons) in Physics from St. Andrews and a PGCE from Aberdeen. He has enjoyed teaching science and maths since joining the future teachers program in high school and decided to become a teacher while volunteering at a local secondary school in Fife, as part of the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme.
Pak Christian has always appreciated the process of teaching and finds the relationships he builds with students, parents, and the local community to be both his greatest achievement and privilege, but there have been many other highlights in his career. At Sgoil Lionacleit, he led his students in a survey for the British Geological Society, collecting ash and debris in the Outer Hebrides, from the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland, which was evidenced in a published journal article. At King’s College Madrid, Christian led the robotics team for three years, winning the Madrid finals and competing on a national level in the First Lego League competition. While working at the British International School Cairo, he was able to bring the IB Physics class to CERN to tour the large hadron collider and antimatter factory.
Pak Christian loves the outdoors, often going camping and hiking with his dog, a local Kintamani. He has many hobbies and is always excited to learn different handcrafts or prepare new recipes, but mostly he is an avid reader and will spend hours enjoying non-fiction and sci-fi.
Head of Art
Ibu Claire is an experienced art teacher, having started her teaching career in Manchester in 2006. Prior to Dyatmika school, she taught GCSE art and the Creative Media Diploma in Salford for 6 years and the Middle Years Program and the International Baccalaureate in Switzerland also for 6 years. She was drawn to Bali for its rich cultural traditions and creativity.
Her educational philosophy is very student centered with the view that all students are capable of being creative and can express themselves as artists. In her classroom, she provides students opportunities to create and solve artistic problems and to develop their own ideas independently in an environment where students feel at ease to take creative risks. She is very proud of the artwork created by Dyatmika students and often shares this in the art instagram account. This year, she hosted the first (post Covid) Dyatmika art exhibition at Komaneka gallery. She often organises art trips and workshops for art students to experience working alongside professional artists and to see art first hand in a gallery setting.
When not at school, Ibu Claire enjoys creating her own art in the form of portrait paintings using mixed media and oil paint. She also enjoys learning about new technology and is currently completing an online course in digital drawing. She is keen to participate in local art workshops to further develop her artistic knowledge and practical skills.
Bahasa Indonesia / Citizenship Teacher
Ibu Clara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Widya Mandala Catholic University, Surabaya. While studying, she was the coordinator of the student executive board, a language laboratory assistant and a teaching assistant at her university.
Her professional life began as the secretary of the Director of the Institute of Tropical Disease, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya. While working as a secretary, she also volunteered to teach children in her neighbourhood area in collaboration with the Surabaya government. During that teaching period, Clara found that teaching children moral values helped build positive characters in the future. From this belief, she decided to be a teacher in Dyatmika and has not looked back ever since!
In her spare time, Clara enjoys listening to music, watching movies and cooking.
Music Teaching Assistant
Ibu Dayu is a passionate Music Teaching Assistant. She believes that every student has a different learning style, and celebrates individuality and creativity.
Ibu Dayu is a graduate of Teacher Education from the IKIP PGRI University Denpasar (Bali). Before commencing her career at Dyatmika School, initially as one of the administrative staff.
Ibu Dayu tries to stay active through Zumba, playing with her children and spending time with her husband and family. She also enjoys listening to music and cooking.
Defrina Martha Widyawati
Ibu Martha is a dedicated and committed Primary Teacher assistant. She believes that every student is an individual with unique capabilities and backgrounds. She encourages the students in her care to be confident and open minded about their learning, socialisation and problem-solving.
Ibu Martha graduated with a Bachelor’s of International Primary Education from Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (Salatiga, Central Java) in 2018. She began her career as a teacher and has since taught in a number of schools and Sunday schools before joining Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant.
Ibu Martha enjoys listening to music and singing. She serves in her church community and is part of the choir group.
Having had a lifelong passion for education, Ibu Dinia enjoys assisting and helping the students grow and flourish in their Primary years.
Ibu Dinia holds a Masters Degree in 2022 from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. She has participated in some unique and engaging educational communities at multiple grade levels with a diverse student population. She believes every child brings his/her own great and unique potential.
Ibu Dinia loves to spend her leisure time reading books and cooking. She is enjoying her new role as a wife and a community member of her new home, Klungkung.
Bahasa Indonesia / ESL Teacher
Completing her study from Malang State University, East Java as a Bachelor in English Language Education, Elizabeth began her professional life as a secretary in the Heads of Domestic and International Relations office in a reputable university in Surabaya. In addition to putting her communications skills into practice, she gained extra expertise during this period which later would distinguish her in the teaching field.
Elizabeth started her career at Dyatmika as an English teacher for National curriculum and a Bahasa Indonesia teacher for Cambridge programmes. She has witnessed the growth of this beautiful school and its talented students. She cherishes the creative language projects that her students have produced in the form of short stories, poems, short movies, posters, essays, advertisements and many more. Elizabeth has a passion for writing and some of her pieces have won awards from Radar Bali Literary Awards (a poem), PT Rohto Laboratories Indonesia (a short story), Femina magazine (an essay), and Wanita Penulis Indonesia cab, Bali (a monologue). However, the proudest moments for her are when her students demonstrate improvements in their language proficiency and empower themselves as learners.
Her downtime includes drawing, listening to good music, sewing or simply strolling down the beach around Sanur then swimming with her pug – sometimes with her husband as well.
National Class Teacher
Ibu Erni is a professional and dedicated teacher. She believes that good school communities create learning environments that encourage active engagement enabling students to develop an understanding of their own responsibility as learners. She believes that when learners have the power to take ownership of their learning process, they become agents of their own learning.
Ibu Erni Hastuti graduated from English Language Education of Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta. Over the course of her 18 years teaching experience, Erni has been fortunate to gain experience working with Foundation/Key stage 1 and 2 children and staff teams in a variety of schools. She began her teaching career as a teacher assistant in Yogyakarta International School before joining the Teachers Exchange Program funded by Australia Indonesia Institute. This gave her the opportunity to improve teaching skills and the development of curricula at five Australian primary schools, located in the South West region of Western Australia.
Ibu Erni loves literature and stories, especially children’s books. Ibu Erni Hastuti has written her own children’s books for Unicef, Literasi Anak Indonesia Foundation and Room to Read. During her spare time, Erni likes to be active and healthy, through swimming and exercise. She enjoys learning about other cultures and languages and is currently exploring the Korean language and its culture.
Fitri Nur Indah Sari
Indah graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Banyuwangi State Polytechnic, majoring in livestock product processing technology. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, Indah joined Dyatmika School as a laboratory assistant. She enjoys preparing tools and materials for science practicals, and is always ready to help students if they need anything related to the laboratory.
Indah is a disciplined and creative lab assistant who strongly believes in enhancing student’s learning experiences and enabling them to achieve their best. Indah is committed to her work, and spends her free time walking and doing creative activities.
Pak George is an experienced maths teacher who has taught in a variety of schools. For the last two years, he has been teaching in China and before that he taught in Bristol in the U.K.Pak George studied Mathematics at the University of Bristol, where he then went on to complete his PGCE. Pak George is passionate in ensuring that all students enjoy Mathematics and can make good progress.
In his spare time, Pak George is normally found on his bicycle or playing football. He also loves going travelling and exploring new places.
Class 6 Teaching Assistant
Born into a mixed Javanese-Papuan family, Ibu Hana grew up in Tembagapura, Papua, and then moved to Central Java to pursue her studies. She has a Bachelor of Education (Language and Literature) from the Christian University of Satya Wacana (Indonesia). Ibu Hana started her teaching career as a volunteer English teacher for an orphanage in Java, before moving to Bali to work in tourism as a personal assistant, accountant and graphic designer. After a while she decided to move back into the field that she was most passionate about – education.
Prior to joining Dyatmika, Ibu Hana taught in another international school in Bali. She actively pursues professional development opportunities and a highlight was being one of the speakers at an educational seminar held in Bali.
Ibu Hana loves to read and write stories and poems. She is one of the authors of a collection of short stories entitled “I’m (Not) Okay” and a book of poetry entitled “Buku Untuk Dibaca di Kafe Kopi”. She also writes stories to be read on one of Papua’s radio stations. Besides that, Hana enjoys singing, playing the guitar and watching horror series.
Head of Mathematics
Ibu Helen is an experienced teacher of Mathematics, beginning her career in 2008 at various high schools in the Isle of Man, before moving to Dyatmika. She firmly believes that students benefit from being able to discuss their learning and strives to be an approachable teacher who plans and delivers lessons that students enjoy, whilst also feeling a sense of progression.
Her interest in teaching was sparked whilst teaching undergraduate students at the University of Manchester whilst working towards a PhD in Structural Fire Engineering. She realised that she much preferred the teaching over the research so decided to step away to retrain as a High School Mathematics teacher. Ibu Helen has a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture (1st Class with Honours) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary Mathematics), both from the University of Manchester.
When not at school Ibu Helen loves travelling, walking and eating in equal measure. She usually tries to combine these passions during the school holidays and can often be found sampling the local cuisine after a long walk in a new city, both in Indonesia and beyond. She especially loves visiting new places in Indonesia, so far she has visited 14 provinces and is looking forward to seeing more.
Art teaching assistant
Ibu Heni is an experienced teaching Assistant in Kindergarten. She believes learning should be fun so students enjoy coming to school each day.
Ibu Heni has a bachelor of Teacher Training and Education and also an additional English Teaching Program qualification. She has worked as a teacher in other schools in Surabaya and Bali, before joining Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant.
In her spare time she likes to sing and spend time with friends and family. She also enjoys being a mother for her little family.
Ibu Hindira is a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who believes that experiential learning is key to a successful life. She has a genuine love of working with children and feels fortunate to be a member of the Dyatmika Family.
Originally from Bali, Ibu Hindira graduated from English Language Education at Undiksha University in Singaraja, Bali. She worked as a teacher in National Primary schools and as a private English teacher for adults and children before joining Dyatmika.
Ibu Hindira loves listening to music and writing stories for children. She has written two books for children in Papua Barat, which cooperated with UNICEF and LAI (Literasi Anak Indonesia Foundation). Hindira loves her family, especially spending time with her son and daughter.
I Gede Merta
Head of House and ICT Teacher
Pak Gede was born and raised in Buleleng – the northern part of Bali. After graduating from high school, he went to the Ganesha University of Education to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (specialising in IT teaching) this enabled him to become a professional teacher. While studying in university, he took a part time job to teach a computer-related ECA focusing on Database (Microsoft Office Access) and Computer Assembly at his alma mater.
His career at Dyatmika started as an IT Teacher and has since taken on further responsibilities such as being a homeroom leader and a head of house. Prior to starting his career at Dyatmika, he volunteered as a teacher for people with special needs under a social foundation in his hometown.
Pak Gede is a badminton addict who will love anything about it including re-watching any recorded professional match. During his spare time, he plays badminton at least once a week. He also enjoys listening to music and podcasts, exploring and gardening.
I Kadek Mardika
Born and raised in Bali, Pak Dika obtained his undergraduate degree from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Indonesia) and his PGCEi from the University of Nottingham (UK). With over 10 years of teaching experience, Pak Dika is specialised in teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 IGCSE English Language. Experienced in supporting EAL learners, Pak Dika also runs an English support group and IELTS training. Apart from teaching, Pak Dika has led professional development training for Cambridge International and he is currently involved in teacher coaching and mentoring at Dyatmika.
Pak Dika believes that effective learning comes from a teaching method which allows students to take ownership of their own learning. He also highlights the importance of reading for pleasure in students’ language development.
Pak Dika enjoys cycling, reading and walking his dog. His favourite writers include George Orwell, Dan Brown and J.K. Rowling.
I Made Adnyana (Dekna)
Playgroup Teacher / National EYP Coordinator
Pak Dekna is an experienced and passionate early years teacher. He believes that school is a place to align aspiration and creativity. He believes that the happier students feel at school, the better their learning experience will be. Pak Dekna has Bachelor of English Literature from Udayana University and Bachelor of Early Years Teacher Education from Universitas Terbuka Denpasar.
He began his career in Early Years Education in 2006 as a Teaching Assistant before working as a teacher for students aged 2 – 3 years old at Little Stars Early Learning and Kindergarten. He then moved to Dyatmika as a Playgroup Teacher. Pak Dekna relished an opportunity to join a teacher exchange program to Perth Australia in 2017 to further develop his teaching skills and he continues to expand his knowledge through his daily student interactions.
Pak Dekna enjoys listening to music, watching movies and spending time with his family. He joins in with community services and writes children’s story books in his spare time. His first children’s story book was published in 2021.
I Made Renga
National Class Teacher
Pak Renga is a dedicated teacher who has enjoyed working with a variety of different colleagues over the years at Dyatmika. He believes that being a teacher is a noble task, educating people to be better, and promoting lifelong learning.
Pak Renga is an alumnus of the School of Teacher Training (the State University) in Singaraja (STKIP Singaraja), North Bali and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching. He has also had the opportunity to conduct a teacher exchange program to Australia twice: Melbourne in 2007 and Perth in 2018.
Before working as a teacher at Dyatmika, Pak Renga worked as a tour guide in Bali for over 5 years. He likes travelling, adventure and sports. He loves physical exercise, such as mountain climbing, cycling, playing badminton and tennis. Until now he is active in the tennis club and plays tennis twice a week to maintain his fitness
Iman Al-Hameed (Mani)
Since graduating with a degree in English Literature in 2007, Ibu Mani has worked with young people in many different capacities, from A level English teacher to Special Educational Needs support. She is a qualified teacher of English Language and Literature with over 10 years of experience and has taught previously in the UK and the Middle East.
Ibu Mani is proud to see how Dyatmika school has dealt with the adversities that have come about due to the pandemic. In the classroom, Ibu Mani aims to facilitate student led, dynamic learning. She hopes to nourish curiosity and love for the subject in all her students as well as independence of thought.
Ibu Mani moved to Bali with her husband Pak Max, who is Dyatmika’s University and Careers Counsellor, and their two children. She is an avid reader and spends her spare time with her family and friends, staying active, exploring and enjoying the varied and healthy lifestyle beautiful Bali has to offer.
Pak Irvandi Yussup was born and raised in Jakarta. Irvandi holds a Masters Degree in Education (Music Education) from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung.
Irvandi is an experienced Music teacher, having taught across a wide selection of all Primary levels. He has taught at various schools in Jakarta, Bekasi, and Sumatra, before moving to teach at Dyatmika School in Bali. Irvandi’s music lessons promote a student-centred approach that encourages participation and enjoyment through practical experience.
Outside of teaching, Pak Irvandi, his wife and his twin boys enjoy the beach, swimming together, going to restaurants near the house, and eating their favourite food, Bakso.
Originally from Australia, Ibu Jo gained a Bachelor of Business degree from Deakin University before deciding to pursue a career in education. After completing a Diploma in Education at LaTrobe University, she spent the next ten years teaching in a range of school settings in both regional Victoria and Melbourne. Seeking new challenges, Ibu Jo then moved to Tanzania where she spent the next seven years teaching in an international school before moving to Bali.
Ibu Jo believes the most effective learning occurs in classrooms where students feel safe and supported. She strives to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to help create well-rounded young adults who can make valuable contributions to their communities.
An avid traveller, Ibu Jo enjoys visiting new countries and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. She also enjoys cooking and reading.
Head of Business & Economics / Community Garden Coordinator
He is originally from a town called Holywood in Northern Ireland. He began his teaching career in 2010 after completing a degree in Business and Politics. He completed his PGCE in Business and Economic Education at Kingston University.
Pak John chose the teaching profession as he strongly believes in the power of education to transform lives. It is this moral purpose that motivates him in his day to day life. Pak John believes that strong, collaborative relationships lead to the best learning and so Dyatmika has proved to be the perfect place to work. A culture of inclusion and support makes every day a pleasure. John fully embraces the idea of lifelong learning and is currently completing the NPQSL qualification for senior leadership.
When not working Pak John tries to take full advantage of Island life. He enjoys cycling in the mountains, running by the ocean or spending time with his family and friends on the beach in Sanur.
Head of IT
Pak John secured his first teaching position in London, in July 1988. He holds a BA(Hons) in Business, an MSc Computing and Information Systems, and a PGCE Post-Compulsory Education. John followed a teaching career in Further and Higher Education in the UK and the Middle East, before teaching at International Schools in China and Vietnam, before joining Dyatmika School as Head of IT.
John offers a friendly, supportive and structured classroom environment where students can realise their full potential. Outside of school, John enjoys the relaxed Bali lifestyle and can often be found at the local coffee shops and warungs.
Kadek Ary Anggreni
Science / Citizenship Teacher
Having obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science and Biology followed by a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science and Remote Sensing (both in Udayana University, Bali), Ibu Ary began working as an Assistant Professor for a Midwifery School in Politeknik Kesehatan, Bali.
Following her role as a private tutor to primary and secondary age students, Ibu Ary gained her teaching qualification from the Dwijendra University, Bali, and joined Dyatmika School thereafter. A committed teacher, she values the positive atmosphere and relationships within the school, which she firmly believes enhances the learning experiences of the students and enables them to achieve their best.
Ibu Ary is committed to her full home life, and in her spare time enjoys gardening, reading, and listening to music. She also enjoys every opportunity to travel.
Kadek Meri Puspita
National Class Teacher
Ibu Meri is a passionate and professional teacher who loves to see how children learn and develop in different ways through meaningful learning experiences. She believes that learning is a lifelong process that allows children to explore their potential interests at any point in their learning journey.
Ibu Meri has a Masters Degree in English Education from Ganesha University of Education. She began her teaching career when she was in university as an English course tutor. Due to her interest in teaching young children, she began working as a Teaching Assistant for class 2 and 3 at Dyatmika and has since experienced teaching across many different ages. She was proud to take on a teaching position, initially as an EAL teacher and then as a Primary class teacher. Ibu Meri is passionate about reading and its impact on children’s development. She enjoys reading to children and published an article about balanced reading instruction for Young learners which she was invited to present at a national conference.
Outside the school, Ibu Meri is a loving mother who always provides the best early education for her children at home. During her spare time, she enjoys her quality time being a mother and continues to explore different places to give the best experiences to her little family.
Kadek Nina Harnin
Ibu Nina loves teaching young children and studying languages. She believes that learning is a lifelong process which starts in early childhood and then continues to adult life through formal and informal opportunities including family, school and other communities.
Ibu Nina holds a Master’s Degree in English Education from Ganesha University of Education, Singaraja. She began her career as a substitute national teacher, teaching Maths, Bahasa and Science. She has also worked as a Class Teacher, a Teaching Assistant and an English Tutor, prior to joining Dyatmika.
Ibu Nina loves reading books, travelling and being a Mother to her son. She enjoys learning new skills especially to do with learning about parenting, teaching and studying new languages.
Mathematics / Science Teacher
Ibu Kadek started her career by teaching private chemistry courses for high school students in Singaraja while studying in college. Before joining Dyatmika,Ibu Kadek taught science and mathematics at one of the national schools in Denpasar. Besides subject teaching, Ibu Kadek has also been a homeroom teacher and held responsibility for organizing curriculum related matters.
Ibu Kadek has a Masters in Science Education and a Bachelor of Chemistry Education from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). During her Master’s Degree, she had the opportunity to attend international seminars and succeeded in publishing three research articles. The articles deal with development of chemistry textbooks, multiple representations, critical thinking, and mind maps.
In her spare time, Ibu Kadek likes to visit her hometown in Gianyar with her family. She also enjoys cooking and listening to music.
High School ECA Coordinator and Class 6 Teacher
Originally from Australia, Ibu Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of South Australia. After briefly teaching for the South Australian Department of Education, Ibu Karen moved to England to teach in the public system in London, based mainly in Hackney, East London, where she gained her Qualified Teacher Status. During her thirteen years in England, she taught across the Primary age ranges, and gained experience as both the Religious Education Coordinator and then ICT Coordinator for the whole school.
After spending two years living and teaching in Sarawak, East Malaysia on the island of Borneo where her daughter was born, she made the move to Indonesia, and fell in love with its warm climate, beautiful scenery, friendly people and relaxed lifestyle.
Ibu Karen prides herself on creating and maintaining learning environments that are supportive, safe and fun while also providing inspiring, relevant and appropriately challenged learning experiences that ultimately produce happy, confident and independent life-long learners who love to read.
Outside of school, Ibu Karen has a love of travelling to new places. She has visited over 52 different countries and takes pleasure in learning about different cultures and the history of the countries she has visited, along with trying new cuisine. When at home, Ibu Karen also enjoys swimming, tennis and regular gym visits along with a good book. She also enjoys spending time with her daughter who has the same love of reading, and their five cats and two rescue dogs.
Bahasa Indonesia Teacher
Ibu Trisna loves working in education, indeed being a teacher has been her dream since childhood. Ibu Trisna completed her undergraduate education as a student majoring in Indonesian Literature and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature from Udayana University, which is one of the well-known universities in Bali.
Trisna believes that improving educational insight and teaching skills is continually necessary for those who work as a teacher. For this reason she continues her college education by taking teacher training programs and enjoys professional development opportunities.
Trisna is proud to work at Dyatmika and will continue to promote the Indonesian language within this fantastic bi-lingual school.
Academic & Pastoral Leader and History Teacher
Pak Kev is a History teacher and school leader with over 20 years of experience. Originally from the U.K. and having taught in a variety of schools in the Midlands, he moved to Dyatmika to continue his goal of providing stimulating and thought-provoking History education, alongside supportive pastoral care and academic guidance for the students under his tutelage.
Pak Kev’s passion for History began when he himself was at school, and was nurtured further whilst completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in History, followed by a PGCE at the University of Birmingham. He has also successfully completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship at the Institute of Education, University College London.
In his spare time, Pak Kev enjoys playing and watching tennis and football, and is an avid supporter of Liverpool F.C. He also enjoys cooking, playing guitar, and has a passion for travel.
Pak Laurence is a teacher of geography with over a decade of experience. He joined Dyatmika after 5 years working at an international school in Prague, Czech Republic. Prior to that, he taught geography within the state sector for Glasgow City Council. Pak Laurence grounds his teaching in growth mindset principles and he is a big believer in cooperative learning strategies.
In 2007, Pak Laurence was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Aberdeen. Spending a year working and living in Kyoto, Japan as an English teacher was a transformative experience and illuminated a great enjoyment and interest in teaching and working with young learners. Subsequently, he returned to Scotland and completed his PGDE at the University of Strathclyde.
In his leisure time, Pak Laurence enjoys traveling and learning about the world. He tries to remain active by running, hiking, mountain biking and learning to surf. He is passionate about music and is a keen drummer.
Lindsay Ann Oliver
Ibu Lindsay has worked in education since 2012 when she graduated with her PGCE in Science from the University of Nottingham. Originally from Ireland, she worked within the state school sector of the UK for eight years whilst living in Brighton, where she progressed through many leadership roles, including Head of Science Faculty.
Ibu Lindsay is an experienced graduate with a First Class BSc(Hons) in Biomedical Science (with Forensics) from Manchester Metropolitan University; a PGCE in Science from Nottingham University, as well as having achieved the National Professional Qualification of Senior Leadership (NPQSL) for education. She has worked professionally within the pharmaceutical industry, and clinically within hospital settings prior to her career in education. Ibu Lindsay has worked actively within the University of Sussex and University of Brighton for many years (prior to Dyatmika) focusing on the recruitment, training and assessment of new teachers.
In her free time, Ibu Lindsay enjoys an active lifestyle which includes playing AFL for the Bali Geckos; early morning F45 challenges; lots of social adventures and traveling when possible. She also enjoys surfing (badly) and watching far too many sports (UFC, Rugby, AFL, Football – to name a few). She also enjoys live music and can often be found at concert venues all over the UK when she is back during the holidays.
Lindy Jayne Burgess
International Class Teacher and Team Leader
Ibu Lindy is an experienced, organised and motivated teacher. She believes that every classroom and every school should be a supportive and caring environment which enables all students to reach their full potential. Ibu Lindy sees herself as a facilitator who promotes a love for learning, creating confident and responsible students who will shape their own future.
Ibu Lindy has a Postgraduate Degree in Early Childhood teaching from the Queensland University of Technology and an Honours Degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Tasmania. Ibu Lindy started her teaching career in International Schools in Vietnam before moving to Bali to work at Dyatmika. She has worked as both teacher and administrator, but her great passion is teaching, especially teaching students how to read. She is not afraid to try new things, which has enabled her to grow and improve as a teacher.
Ibu Lindy enjoys snorkelling, reading, cross-stitching and knitting. She loves all animals, but especially dogs and cats. She regularly volunteers at Bali Animal Welfare Association, walking and loving the dogs and cats there, as well as loving her pets at home.
Luh Putu Kusumadewi Yuliani
National Class Teacher
Ibu Dewi is an experienced and passionate primary teacher. She believes that every student is unique and enjoys finding creative ways to facilitate their learning in a fun and meaningful way.
Dewi graduated from English Language Education of Undiksha University in Singaraja (Bali). With a career spanning 20 years so far, she began her teaching career as a teacher assistant in Kennington Primary School in Bendigo – Victoria, then taught early years students in Taman Rama Kindergarten, Denpasar Bali.
Writing children’s story books is a passion that also contributes to her success as a teacher. She feels privileged to have had opportunities to write books for Unicef, Literasi Anak Indonesia Foundation, Literacy Cloud and let’s read – The Asia Foundation. One of her books won the grand prize of The Samsung KidsTime Authors’ Award in 2016. During her spare time, Dewi likes listening to music, reading and lives her life as a Balinese community member in the village.
National Class Teacher
Originally from Yogyakarta in Java, Ibu Lusia moved to Bali in 2005 and is an experienced and dedicated teacher. She believes that in learning, there are no full stops but only commas. Learning is a lifelong process, no matter how young or old we are. Ibu Luisa was driven to become a teacher because of her deep love of learning and desire to pass that along to others.
Ibu Lusia graduated from English Language Education of Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta in 2002, and began teaching as a teacher assistant at Yogyakarta International School. Besides teaching in formal school settings, she has also worked as an instructor of an English language course where she taught English to children and adults.
Ibu Lusia enjoys spending her free time reading and singing. Her interest in reading has inspired her to write children’s books for Unicef and Literasi Anak Indonesia Foundation. She is part of a choir and enjoys practising singing techniques and skills, meeting new people from different backgrounds and learning more about music in a fun way.
Mathematics and Science Teacher
Ibu Made started her teaching career as a teaching assistant for special needs students and a laboratory technician in one of the international schools in Bali. Ibu Made has a Chemistry Degree and a Secondary School teaching qualification. Ibu Made graduated from Udayana University and gained her teaching qualification from the University of IKIP PGRI, Bali. Throughout her career, she has continued to seek opportunities to learn and has undertaken training in teaching special needs students, first aid and Cambridge training.
Ibu Made enjoys teaching and working with students and loves many different types of sports. She was one of the martial arts athletes selected to represent Indonesia in the SEA games before she injured her ankle. She still does some martial arts coaching and plays futsal every week. In her spare time, Ibu Made likes to explore nature with her family and friends, hiking, climbing and camping. She also enjoys music, she plays guitar and drums. She was the drummer of the one and only girl band in Bali during her school time. Those skills and interests are used to coach pencak silat club in school, and get involved in Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and the teacher’s band!
Having obtained a Degree in Applied Science and Analytical Chemistry, Ibu Margaret worked for three years as a Medical Laboratory Scientific Officer in York District Hospital’s Haematology and Blood Transfusion Serology Department. This convinced Ibu Margaret that her future did not belong with automated analysis and so she pursued her Postgraduate Certificate in Education, enabling her to enter the teaching profession, teaching Science and Chemistry up to A-Level.
During twenty six years of teaching in the United Kingdom Ibu Margaret studied part time and obtained a Degree in Natural Science, a Diploma in Special Educational Needs and Master of Arts in Action Research, Development, Improvement and Change. Ibu Margaret then made a decision to move into International teaching, moving first to Shanghai and then to Dyatmika.
Ibu Margaret enjoys practising Iyengar yoga and working with a personal trainer. She has rediscovered her love of travel following a quiet couple of years due to the global pandemic.
Indonesian Second Language Teacher
Ibu Yani has spent her whole life in Bali and has a Bachelor Degree of English Education from Ganesha University of Education. Always dreaming of teaching in an International school with a variety of students, she got a great opportunity to start her educational career when she joined Dyatmika as a teaching assistant and Homeroom teacher soon after graduating.
Ibu Yani believes that each student is unique and endeavours to create a cheerful, conducive learning environment for her students. She has also undertaken training for teaching Indonesian as a second language to help her excel in her role.
Yani loves stories and wrote two children’s books during her studies at university. As for her love of language, she is learning Korean through music and movies in her spare time. Above all, the thing that she likes the most is telling stories to her son and daughter.
University and Careers Counsellor
Pak Max is the University and Careers Guidance Counsellor at Dyatmika. He qualified as a teacher in 2008 and worked in Manchester in the UK for 6 years before moving abroad and working as a Head of English in Qatar.
An experienced educator, Pak Max completed his Masters in Teaching and Learning in 2012 with a focus on cross-curricular learning experiences. As a teacher, he attempts to bring the learning experience to life in the classroom and enjoys the privilege of working in a school every day. After developing his middle leadership experience in his previous post, Pak Max has taken up his current role in which he has the pleasure of working with Class 11 and 12 students on their career pathways and university applications. Dyatmika students are quite remarkable, and discovering their many talents and achievements outside of the academic context is the thing that he enjoys most about his job.
Outside of work Pak Max enjoys all sports and outdoor activities, from football to chasing Pak JonCon and Pak Jon C up the Balinese mountains on a bike. He lives in Sanur with his wife, Ibu Mani, who teaches English, and his two sons who also attend Dyatmika Primary school.
International Class Teacher and Team Leader
Ibu Melissa is a caring, highly-skilled teacher and leader who draws from a wealth of experience in education. An advocate of intercultural awareness, diversity and inclusion, she actively engages and empowers the students; creating opportunities where they feel encouraged to explore, create and thrive in every learning opportunity.
Ibu Melissa has enjoyed a successful career for over 20 years, having taught every age group from Nursery to Year 6 in British and International schools in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. She also has experience in providing Special Needs interventions and delivering English as an Additional Language (EAL). Ibu Melissa holds a Masters Degree in International Education from the University of Sunderland, UK and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) alongside teaching qualifications from her home country, the Philippines. Ibu Melissa has also held various positions of leadership in different schools, including being a member of the Primary Senior Leadership Team in her previous school. An advocate of educational leadership, Ibu Melissa is committed to life-long learning and collegial collaboration. She enjoys participating and presenting in educational conferences and has mentored colleagues as well as teacher trainees from Malaysian and Australian universities over the years.
Ibu Melissa’s other interests include reading, travelling, learning about different cultures and languages, and dancing!
PE / Sports Teacher
Born and raised in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. In 2000, he moved to Surabaya, East Java. In 2010, Pak Michael completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education at PGRI Adi Buana University (UNIPA), Surabaya. Before joining Dyatmika, Pak Michael started his career as a Physical Education teacher at SMK Catholic Mater Ama Bilis, Surabaya and SD Catholic St Theresia, Surabaya.
There is one reason why he chose to teach physical education: not only because he loves playing sports, but also because he thinks that it is one of the key ways to have a happy soul and healthy body. As a teacher, Pak Michael believes that anything can be learned. He is very proud to be a part of the amazing Dyatmika School community. Besides teaching in Dyatmika, he is a member of the Indonesian Football Referee Organisation and Indonesian Football Coaches.
On the weekend, Pak Michael spends time with his family, playing football, playing volleyball, and swimming.
Nadine Gemma Winspur
Head of English
Ibu Nadine grew up in Birmingham, UK before she ventured further north to study a combined Honours Degree in ‘English, French and Latin American Studies’ from the University of Liverpool. Nadine was then drawn to London, UK, where she continued her studies achieving a Masters in ‘Gender Anthropology and Development’ from Goldsmiths College, University of London. Before qualifying as a teacher, Nadine worked on a national energy efficiency programme with local governments and NGOs and attained certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Her teaching qualification, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (Secondary English), is also from University of London.
Ibu Nadine began her English teaching career at an inner-city all girls school in London, where she progressed to KS3 Coordinator, curating and delivering a curriculum in line with her educational ethos: encouraging students to have high expectations; providing creative opportunities and instilling a love of reading and writing for pleasure. Highlights of her teaching career include: working with authors to publish anthologies of student writing; holding Duke of Edinburgh leader and assessor certification, bringing Ubud Writers and Readers Festival and The Handlebards (travelling Shakespeare group) to Dyatmika
Ibu Nadine enjoys Bali-life with her husband and young daughter – travelling, yoga, and salsa dancing whenever possible.
Ni Gusti Ayu Paramiyogi (Pami)
Ibu Pami is a caring Teaching Assistant who enjoys promoting comfortable, engaging learning environments for students. She is passionate about supporting students and providing assistance to class teachers to help meet the needs of Dyatmika students.
Ibu Pami holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Education from Ganesha University of Education in Buleleng, Bali, having graduated in 2019. During university, she took part in many students’ organisations and student’s programs in collaboration with Simmon College from Boston, USA. Furthermore, Pami also joined early years teaching programs that were conducted in small villages in Buleleng. These experiences inspired her to commence work as a Teaching Assistant in Dyatmika.
Ibu Pami enjoys art and craft activities including sewing, makeup, drawing and making accessories. Besides art and craft, she also enjoys reading books, travelling and cuddling her pets at home.
Ni Kadek Fitria
Head of House and Science Teacher
Ibu Fitria graduated from Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) with a major in Physics Education. She started her career tutoring in an institution for Junior to Senior High School students in Denpasar.
After graduation, Ibu Fitria joined Dyatmika School as a Laboratory Assistant and enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the school and the curriculum. Ibu Fitria is now teaching Science and helping other teachers with practical lessons. She enjoys teaching Science and believes that students learn more about Science if they are able to experience practical activities and experiments.
In her spare time, Ibu Fitria likes to watch movies or dramas. That is one of the ways she also learns English. She also likes to try new foods, especially street food snacks.
Ni Komang Putri Adnyani
Ibu Putri enjoys interacting with students and her happiest moments are when she observes becoming increasingly dependent in their learning.
She graduated from Ganesha University of Education in 2020, majoring in English Language Education, but began her career as a private teacher when she was still in her sixth semester. After graduating, she continued her career in private tutoring and also worked as a translator. Since joining Dyatmika she has enjoyed being a Teaching Assistant in both the Art Department and primary classrooms.
Ibu Putri loves spending her spare time watching action and science fiction movies. She also likes listening to music, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Ni Made Suniyasih
Ibu Suniyasih or Ibu Arik as students love to call her, is a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting students to help them reach their full potential. The more motivated the students are in their learning, the happier Ibu Suniyasih will be.
Ibu Suniyasih graduated from Ganesha University of Education in 2020. She holds an English Education Bachelor’s Degree. She began her career as a translator and a private English tutor before joining Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant.
Ibu Suniyasih enjoys reading books about psychology, life, and romance. She loves listening to music, watching movies, colouring, cooking and going to the beach.
Ni Made Yasni
Ibu Yasni is an experienced Playgroup Teaching Assistant. She believes that every student has a different style of learning and is unique in their creativity.
Ibu Yasni graduated with a Diploma of Kindergarten Teacher Education from PGRI University, Denpasar (Bali). She then continued her studies and received a Bachelor’s of Counselling from IKIP PGRI University Denpasar. Following this, Ibu Yasni began her career at Dyatmika School as a Playgroup Teaching Assistant.
Ibu Yasni tries to stay active by doing Zumba and cycling in her spare time. She also likes listening to music and cooking.
Ni Nyoman Sulistiari
National Class Teacher
Ibu Sulis has experience of teaching in various age groups but found her passion was teaching the younger students. She believes that all challenges we face are a natural part of the process of learning, helping us to become a better person as a result.
Ibu Sulis has a Diploma in Japanese Language, a Bachelor of English Literature from Udayana University and a Bachelor of Early Years Education Program from Universitas Terbuka Denpasar. Her teaching career started as a Japanese teacher in SMAN 6 Denpasar. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant in Sunrise International School at Kerobokan for 6 years. Her career in Sekolah Dyatmika began as a substitute Teacher of EYP, Primary 1 and 2, before becoming a Primary class teacher.
In her spare time, she likes reading, listening to music, cleaning and doing simple exercise.
Ni Putu Novita Shandra Dewi
Ibu Shandra is passionate about early childhood education and believes that students and teachers are constantly learning from each other.
She graduated from the English Education Department of Ganesha University of Education in 2015 and continued her education to gain her Master’s of Education in 2018. Following her graduation, she worked as a teacher of Early Years students before moving to Dyatmika School. Ibu Shandra enjoys reading stories to students and working on art and craft activities with them.
She is the Mother of a little boy who loves cooking and she also loves to cook for her family and explore new foods and recipes.
Ni Luh Kade Duwinitia Ningsih
Ibu Duwi is a dedicated Teaching Assistant who believes that education is vital to unlock a student’s hidden potential. She finds working in a school which values local wisdom, but also includes a variety of different nationalities and cultures, rewarding and feels fortunate to be a part of the Dyatmika community.
Duwi graduated from Ganesha University of Education in Singaraja, Bali and holds a Master’s Degree in English Education in 2018. Before joining Dyatmika, she worked as an Admission’s officer in other schools and was also an English tutor. A career highlight so far was being a presenter at a combined international conference where her paper was also published in an accredited journal.
During her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading books and listening to podcasts. At the moment, she is trying her best to focus on her new role as the mother of a baby girl and continue her role as a balinese woman as well.
Ni Luh Komang Alit
Ibu Alit comes from Klungkung but she has lived in Denpasar for some time. She enjoys her role in Dyatmika, assisting the teachers and supporting the students’ needs.
Ibu Alit gained an Associate Degree, majoring in Primary School Teacher Education, before gaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Indonesian Education from Mahasaraswati University (Bali).
During her spare time, Ibu Alit likes cooking either Indonesian or Western food, finding the recipes on Youtube. She enjoys spending the weekends with her family.
Ni Luh Putu Sri Arthini
Indonesian Studies Teacher
Ibu Putu started her teaching career as a teacher in tutoring institutions for students ranging from elementary to high school age. She graduated from STKIP Singaraja Bali (University for Teacher Education) majoring in Chemistry. She is proud to be a member of the Dyatmika academic staff and has previously taught Science, Mathematics, and the UN program. Ibu Putu now enjoys teaching Indonesian studies since it provides new experiences and knowledge that many students might not have known or understood before.
Ibu Putu likes traveling when she has the opportunity, and loves to learn the unique traditions of a location, and their local customs.
Ni Made Mestriani (Ibu Ade)
National Class Teacher
Ibu Ade is a dedicated teacher who strongly believes that learning is a continuous process in which the teacher facilitates meaningful learning experiences to help develop students’ knowledge and skills.
Ibu Ade has a Masters Degree in English Language Education from Ganesha University of Education in Singaraja, Bali. She began her teaching career as an English course tutor and kindergarten teacher in TK Grand Bali Beach, Sanur. Ibu Ade joined Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant, before being appointed as a Primary Teacher. One of Ibu Ade’s career highlights so far was the opportunity to write and present an article about teachers’ communication strategies at an International conference.
Ibu Ade enjoys spending her spare time cooking, singing, dancing and doing yoga. She likes to go to the beach, river or rice field with her little family on the weekends and holidays.
Ni Putu Pebri Ariati
National Class Teacher
Ibu Ebi is an enthusiastic, committed early childhood teacher with a passion for teaching and a love for young children. She believes that young children learn best through playing, and that meaningful early years experiences strengthen their willingness to learn and be curious about the world.
Ebi has a Masters Degree in English Language Education from Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) in Singaraja, Bali. Her interest in young children began when she became a researcher for her thesis in a bilingual school in North Bali and so she joined Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant, before moving into a teaching position.
Being one of speakers in the 11th annual CamTESOL conference in Cambodia was one of the most valuable experiences so far in her teaching career. During her spare time, Ebi likes to watch TV, cook and enjoys her role as a wife and a mother at the same time.
Ni Putu Wismayani Pratiwi
Ibu Wisma is a committed Teaching Assistant and is passionate about supporting the diverse needs of students from different backgrounds to achieve their potential.
Ibu Wisma holds a Master’s Degree in English Language Education from Ganesha University of Education, Bali. Prior to joining Dyatmika, Ibu wisma worked as a teacher in a national-based private school.
Ibu wisma enjoys spending her leisure time reading books and sometimes does yoga with her friends. She likes to travel to each part of Bali and around Indonesia.
Nyoman Sri Utami
National Class Teacher
Ibu Utami is from Bali and graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education from the Universitas Terbuka Denpasar. She was a founding member of staff, having taught at Dyatmika School since it opened in 1996.
Ibu Utami has fully participated in the development of the reading program at Dyatmika School. She believes that developing a reading culture and a love of reading amongst children is essential in providing them with insight into their own development and the world.
During her time as a teacher at Dyatmika, Ibu Utami has gained valuable experience as a writer and editor of graded books and children’s story books. The books that she wrote and developed are currently being used as books for reading programs in most public elementary schools in Indonesia. She is a speaker and a trainer in various reading development training programs for elementary school teachers nationally. She relishes such opportunities as these allow her to make a major contribution to the teaching and learning processes in classrooms beyond Dyatmika.
Reading novels and watching dramas are activities that she enjoys in her spare time and is a loving mother to her teenage son and daughter.
Academic & Pastoral Leader and Geography Teacher
Pak Philis is a passionate and dedicated educator who really enjoys developing new teaching resources especially if it involves visiting the areas he is teaching about to gather information! He is well experienced with high expectations of both his students and indeed of himself. He has taught in several schools with wide ranging environmental and socio-economic conditions which has strengthened his ability to adapt well to change. His belief that schools should be safe, productive yet fun and enjoyable has only been reinforced over the past few years given the need to switch from ‘in person’ teaching to online learning at times during the pandemic.
Pak Philis was awarded a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from The University of Sheffield in 2000 and completed his PGCE a year later at the same institution. After completing his first two years of teaching in a comprehensive school in his hometown of Birmingham he was offered the opportunity to move to Sulawesi, Indonesia to run conservation and research expeditions for Sixth Form and University students. In 2006 he returned back to the classroom and back to Birmingham after securing a pastoral role in a very large secondary school. In 2013 he took his Geography and pastoral skills to Hanoi, Vietnam where he was based for 4 years before jumping at the chance to move to Bali and teach at Dyatmika where he now feels settled and ‘at home’.
In his spare time Pak Philis likes to get his hands dirty in the garden, enjoys long walks with his dog, Reggie, and enjoys movies. He is an adventurous traveller and always looks forward to his next adventure!
Head of Physical Education
Pak Philip is a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher of Physical Education with over 25 years of teaching experience. He is originally from Cardiff, Wales in the UK but has taught in 4 different countries. His teaching career started in the United Kingdom, then conducted teacher training in Guyana, South America, was Head of Physical Education and Student activities coordinator at a prestigious High School in New York City and has been Head of Physical Education at Dyatmika for many years, making him the longest serving international member of staff!
Pak Philip has a Masters Degree in Education from Columbia University – Teachers College, New York (USA), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in ‘Human Movement’ Studies from Cardiff Institute of Wales (UK) with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). He has teaching/coaching qualifications and expertise in all areas of sport and even once represented Guyana’s National Rugby Team in the Caribbean Rugby World Cup qualifying tournament.
Philip is also currently the chairman and coordinator of the Bali School Sports Association (BSSA) which has 10 member schools. He is a strong believer of ‘Sport for All’ and has been instrumental in encouraging participation in sport and driving the sporting success and achievements of Dyatmika School and Students during his time at Dyatmika. He also has a philosophy of children being Physically active, healthy and engaged in all kinds of sporting activities makes them positive ‘student’ athletes. Meaning that motivation, improvement and success in the sports hall, sports field, court, pool, gym should also help overcome challenges and improve focus, effort and success in the Classroom, thus a healthy body has a healthy and strong positive mind.
In his leisure time, Philip still enjoys being physically active by Running, Cycling and going to the gym. Although these activities are mostly non competitive nowadays, being active is generally part of keeping a healthy balanced routine that is essential in his everyday life.
International Class Teacher
Ibu Philippa is a caring and passionate teacher who believes in providing a learning environment in which every student can reach their full potential. Ibu Philippa has worked across a variety of age groups, teaching pupils with a range of needs and abilities and strives to provide a learning environement where students feel confident, safe and willing to step outside of their comfort zone in order to try something new.
Ibu Philippa has a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from the UK, after which she began her teaching career in Cornwall where she worked in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) School for students with communication difficulties. This was a job that provided great challenges but huge rewards and led to her completing her SENCO qualification.
Ibu Philippa began her international teaching career in Lombok, Indonesia where she taught Year 5 and 6 students the Cambridge International curriculum as well as holding the position of SEN Coordinator for the past 6 years. Ibu Philippa loves Indonesia and all that it has to offer, including exploring the beautiful island of Bali.
Outside of the classroom, Ibu Philippa enjoys Muay Thai and yoga, as well as walks on the beach with her two dogs. She is looking forward to improving her Bahasa Indonesia as well as becoming a better cook!
Putu Shela Widiawati
Ibu Shela is a passionate and sociable Teaching Assistant. Having worked in education for more than 5 years, she continues to actively seek ways to develop her teaching skills and to create positive impacts for the school community. Shela enjoys her role of supporting teachers, steering the students in their learning, and assisting with lesson preparations.
Shela holds a Bachelor of English Language Education from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. She began her career through private tutoring and tuition before moving to Dyatmika as a Teaching Assistant.
Besides the educational world, Shela has an insatiable interest in environmental activities. In 2018, she organised the annual event of ‘Bali Biggest Clean-Up’ by Bye-Bye Plastic Bags in Singaraja. Sometimes on the weekends, Shela volunteers for beach clean-up activities with Trash Hero. She also supports sustainable fashion by rewearing and repurposing clothes. For her balance and stability, she is active in yoga and meditation. She also loves listening to music and reading books.
Ibu Irma is an educational psychologist with a passion for helping students to reach their full potential. She specialises in counselling, psycho-educational assessment, interventions, and teaching. During her career so far, Ibu Irma has experience of working with students from early years through to high school.
Irma has a Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Indonesia (UI) and a Bachelor’s of Psychology from Udayana University. Along with her Master’s Degree, Irma is also licenced and registered as a psychologist in Indonesia from UI, Jakarta. Inclusive education and counselling intervention have been her main expertise since 2015. Prior to joining Dyatmika, Irma has been working with students with special needs, conducting counselling, and giving academic support in National and International schools both in Bali and Jakarta. Aside from her job, Irma is also an active member of the Indonesian Psychologist Association (Bali) and Special Education Network in Asia (SENIA).
Irma likes to travel to see nature. She is also keen on trying something new like climbing, diving, and baking. But most of the time, she chooses to relax while watching her favourite movies and TV series.
Rebecca Way (Beci)
Ibu Beci is an experienced teacher with a passion for pastoral care, mental health/wellbeing and her subject specialism Computer Science/ICT.
Ibu Beci is originally from South Wales in the United Kingdom where she studied her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Studies at the University of South Wales. She then went on to study at the University of Wales Trinity St. David to complete her PGCE in Secondary Education for Computer Science/IT.
Over the last six years Ibu Beci has taught in schools across South Wales, the South West of England and more recently in Shenzhen, China. Ibu Beci has previously held the positions of Head of Department, Head of House and has recently qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.
Outside of school you will find Ibu Beci being active at the gym to balance out her need to try out tasty food at restaurants. She also enjoys exploring, traveling, dance and musical theater.
Ridzki Akbar Samsulhadi
Pak Ridzki is someone who likes to extend his hands to support other people. Growing up in the vibrant city of Jakarta never stopped him from following his passion to help the less fortunate youths around his community. Pak Ridzki went to Canada and completed his Social Work Degree from Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson University, with a strong conviction that empowering young people is key to making the world a better place.
As an educator and school counsellor, Pak Ridzki believes students’ academic development and personal wellbeing are two sides of the same coin that cannot be separated. Both qualities should be nurtured in balance for students to be the best version of themselves. He also sees every one of his students as an interesting individual with their own unique potential and way of growing up. His office is always open for students to share any stories.
During his spare time, Pak Ridzki enjoys volunteering in a nearby organisation for children with disabilities. He is also quite a food enthusiast, a hobby he shares with his wife, and together they are always hunting for different kinds of cuisines to try whenever they have time to do so.
Samuel Yunius Sayoga (Sammy)
Pak Sammy was born in Banyuwangi, East Java. He is an experienced Primary Music teacher and has worked with students across a wide age range. Pak Sammy completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music (Church Music) at Universitas Kristen Immanuel, Yogyakarta. Before joining Sekolah Dyatmika, Pak Sammy worked in a number of different schools in Java and Bali.
His music lessons develop students’ abilities to play musical instruments and appreciate a wide variety of music through movement and dancing. He believes music lessons help to develop a sense of group identity and togetherness whilst increasing self-discipline and creativity.
Pak Sammy finds facilitating student opportunities to express themselves through music very rewarding and he feels blessed to be a music teacher at Dyatmika.
Head of Social Sciences
Ibu Sarah is an experienced teacher of History, beginning her career in Essex, UK where she held a variety of positions before moving to Dubai to teach in an international school and becoming Deputy Head of House. She had a wonderful four years in the UAE and thoroughly enjoyed all the opportunities she got to experience there. Ibu Sarah returned to the UK to take up the position of Deputy Head of Sixth Form at a local high school before moving to Dyatmika to take up the position of Head of Social Sciences.
Ibu Sarah was attracted to Dyatmika by its strong ethos to educate for a better world, its place within the local and international teaching community and the desire to teach well rounded students that have had a variety of learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom. She has enjoyed seeing Dyatmika ‘come back to life’ after the pandemic and taking students on Duke of Edinburgh expeditions as well as organising international trips for her students.
In her spare time Ibu Sarah enjoys travelling both domestically and internationally, leading an active lifestyle attending Crossfit, hiking, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. She feels very fortunate to call Bali her home.
Psychology Teacher & PSHE / Librarian
After starting her career at Dyatmika, her first impact on the school was transforming the school library. Ibu Tya then opened the AS/A Level Psychology course which has now been running successfully for six years. During her time at Dyatmika she has led various other initiatives, including the school’s adoption of Google for Education, streamlining the PSHE Education programme in the High School, and introducing new extracurricular activities such as Bohemian Cafe and World Mental Health Day.
Ibu Tya has a degree in Psychology from HELP University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International) from the University of Nottingham. Prior to working in Bali, she has lived and worked in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, having grown up between the Middle East and Indonesia. Her philosophy as an educator is that ultimately, students learn best when they are happy, healthy and feel supported. She places a priority in building a positive relationship with her students, creating a safe learning space to explore and make mistakes, and making sure that students’ need for a well-balanced life is taken into account.
Outside of school, Ibu Tya is an avid Salsa dancer, yogi, and Hash runner. Anything that involves being outside and a road trip, especially with her beloved Bali dog, is how she most loves spending her free time. You can also always excite her with conversations on arts, films, and current sociopolitical and cultural phenomena.
PE / Sports Teacher
Pak Bowo holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Education from the State University of Surabaya. Pak Bowo is a Physical Education and Sports teacher who is proud to work at Dyatmika. He is always enthusiastic and enjoys motivating students during teaching and training at Dyatmika school. In addition, he also ensures that students enjoy learning and are happy in every physical activity at school.
Outside of school, Pak Bowo enjoys traveling with his family, playing tennis, badminton and basketball.
Mathematics and Science Teacher
Pak Will is an experienced Mathematics and Science teacher, having taught for 8 years in various high schools in the United Kingdom. He has worked in a wide variety of middle leadership roles from Head of Year to Director of Achievement. Whilst constantly striving for excellence in his own practice, he enjoys sharing his passion for Mathematics and Science with his students and is very proud of his record in guiding them to academic success. He is passionate in his support of the pastoral development of students; as an example he has been involved in coaching school soccer in every school he has worked in.
Pak Will has a National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership from the Outstanding Leaders Partnership (UK) and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from Sheffield Hallam University (UK). He also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Leicester (UK).
In his spare time Pak Will enjoys playing all types of sport but especially surfing and soccer. He also enjoys playing the guitar and watching his favourite soccer team, Middlesbrough.
Head of Bahasa Indonesia
Ibu Yuris completed her English Education Bachelor’s degree at Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta. She believes that teaching with heart and preparation is one of the keys to successful teaching and learning. Making sure that students enjoy learning to bring out their full potential is Ibu Yuris’s motto for the teaching-learning process.
Ibu Yuris began her teaching career by being an English teacher, followed by being an instructor at a mining company in Sulawesi. After Sulawesi, she moved to Kalimantan. In Kalimantan, she not only taught English but also Indonesian as a second language. Her interest in teaching Indonesian grew so she moved to Bali to join Dyatmika and started her career as an Indonesian teacher.
She loves singing, dancing, gardening, playing guitar, and going for a walk in her spare time. She also likes exploring this beautiful country and traveling overseas.
Ibu Lila is a professional leader with experience working in various types of businesses during her 38-year career in managing finances. These experiences enriched her ability to lead school administration as a Business Manager. She has worked for many years in factories that produce and export apparel, “Animale” was a well-known brand in this business field before joining Dyatmika in 2008.
Ibu Lila completed her education at Udayana University, Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Economics majoring in Accounting and has successfully obtained a professional degree in Registered Accountant (CA). Dyatmika will be the last career stage for Ibu Lila before her retirement. She loves Dyatmika so much and is committed to maintaining the stability of the school’s financial capacity so that Dyatmika is always able to provide quality education for Indonesian children and other children studying in Bali.
Ibu Lila really likes plants and trees, she spent her free time in the garden. She also likes reading and listening to sweet music. She enjoys outside activities, travelling to explore beautiful Bali and Indonesia.
Head of SPK Accreditation
Pak Cok is a passionate and trusted leader when it comes to education. He believes that schools should be places where supportive environments and high standards enable students to excel both academically and personally, becoming happy and caring global citizens.
Holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in English Language Education from Ganesha University, Bali, Pak Cok’s love of teaching has grown since he was a primary class teacher of a national plus school applying a combined curriculum. Following a successful qualification as National Head of School from the Indonesian authorities, Pak Cok explored the management ladder by taking opportunities to lead schools with national and international settings around Bali. During his more than 17 years of in education, Pak Cok acquired extensive knowledge on the Indonesian education system. The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology recognized him as a Master Trainer for the school’s transformation program and a National Instructor for the teacher’s transformation program.
As the Head of SPK Accreditation in Dyatmika, Pak Cok was instrumental in guiding the whole school through the rigorous process of SPK Accreditation in 2019 leading to an excellent level of accreditation for EYP/Primary and High School. Over the years, Pak Cok has built productive networks with schools around Indonesia and in 2021, he was appointed as Deputy of the SPK School Association with more than 400 members across Indonesia. Personally, he has a dream to bring about “Merdeka Philosophy” of Bapak Ki Hadjar Dewantara, the Indonesian Education Father, to a global community.
Away from his busy schedule, Pak Cok enjoys cooking, reading books on education and philosophy, getting around the island with friends and family or walking his two balinese dogs. Also, He has an interest in digital publications and human photography.
Ayu Hary Widi
Head of Human Resources & GA
Ibu Widi has worked in non-formal education since 2000 and has experience as a Marketing & Event organiser and Centre manager. Ibu Widi worked in English language courses for many years including ” English First”, a worldwide well-known company for English language courses, before she joined Dyatmika in 2016. She was born in Denpasar and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Warmadewa University.
Ibu Widi wishes to continue her career at Dyatmika for the long term as she loves Dyatmika very much. Being part of the Dyatmika family is a great honour for her and she believes that professionalism, an open mind, positive thinking and strong communication skills are important aspects that lead to excellent working environments.
She enjoys cultural activities and enjoys nature in her free time apart from cooking. She also enjoys practising Balinese dance as her love for Balinese culture
Campus Facility Service & Security Manager
Pak Aswin’s full name is Made Aswin Sugihartana and he comes from Singaraja-Bali. He is an experienced project manager and he has been the Campus Facilities and Security Manager of Dyatmika since 2007. During his time at the school, Pak Aswin has been instrumental in overseeing the planning and development of the school campus.
Pak Aswin holds a Double Degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in telecommunications and law. In his spare time he enjoys contributing to an orphanage in Denpasar.
Pak Arie is an experienced IT professional with more than fifteen years of experience across the industry for managing IT teams before joining Dyatmika in 2021. He believes that by working together with all the Dyatmika’s staff he can further develop a strategic IT roadmap ensuring an effective system to manage users requirements and to increase Dyatmika productivity and adaptability in this shifting era.
Head of EYP and Primary Office
Pak Rona has experience as an Assistant Manager and has previously worked in private and public sectors in Jakarta and Bali. He graduated from Prasetiya Mulya University in Jakarta with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is still registered as a Postgraduate student in Management Science at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha.
Before joining Dyatmika, he worked as Assistant Program Manager in Business Management for the Undergraduate Program at Prasetiya Mulya University and the last experience as Assistant Office Manager at Bali Creative Industry Centre (BCIC), Ministry of Industry of Indonesia.
Pak Rona enjoys being active during his weekends and free time through activities such as Art (Balinese Dance, Balinese “Gong” Music, Crafting, Cooking, Poetry, etc), and Sport (Badminton, Tennis, Cycling, Running, Swimming, Climbing, Adventure, etc).
Putu Indrayani (Iin)
High School Office Supervisor
Ibu Iin has been working in Dyatmika since 2012. She enjoys being part of the Dyatmika family and wishes to work here long term.
Prior to Dyatmika, Ibu Iin lived and worked in Cambridge, United Kingdom. She has had varied experiences ranging from restaurants and hotels to Healthcare industries.
Having been born and raised in Denpasar, Bu iin graduated from the Padjadjaran University in Bandung. She then went on to study in Perth, Western Australia.
In her spare time, Ibu Iin enjoys spending time and relaxing with her family, she also likes to keep active by going to aerobics classes or walking at the beach.
Ibu Armi graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting from UNDIKNAS University, a reputable university in Bali. Over the last 13 years of her career, she has worked as an accountant for different businesses including: a bank, a trading company, hospitality, a restaurant and also a manufacturing company. Ibu Armi then had the opportunity to apply her knowledge and skills in accounting and taxation upon joining Dyatmika school in 2019.
Ibu Armi leads the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. She loves Dyatmika and is committed to supporting the school and Yayasan.
Ibu Armi is an open minded person and honest person. She constantly seeks ways to improve herself and never stops learning. She likes listening to music, exercising in the gym, taking care of orchids and spending her free time with her lovely Koi and family. She also enjoys outside activities. Her dream is to travel and explore the world with her beloved husband and children.
School Shop & Receiver
Pak Agung Putra was born and raised in Denpasar. He has been working at Dyatmika School since 2016, working in the school shop and as a receiver in the accounting Department. Before he joined Dyatmika School, he worked in a restaurant in Bali for several years. Working at Dyatmika inspired him to continue and finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at a Reputable University in Bali. With his loyalty, dedication and kind nature, he enjoys assisting students and parents in providing for their needs.
In his spare time he enjoys cycling, badminton, listening to music and meeting with his lovely family in Ubud.
IT Application Support
Pak Bayu was born and raised in Jakarta, graduating from Udayana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He began his IT career track in the hospitality industry and also worked as a remote system administrator, providing services for companies across Denmark and Germany.
Pak Bayu joined Dyatmika in 2019, starting out as an IT Technician before Pak Bayu moved into the role of managing and maintaining the smooth operations of Engage School Management Information System. This requires him to work closely with the Heads of Schools, Teachers, and Academic and Administrative Departments.
Pak Bayu loves to spend time with his wife and cute little boy and girl. In his spare time, he also enjoys listening to music and listening to podcasts.
Chintia Devi Pendit
IT Administration Officer
Ibu Devi is from Tabanan, but she was born and grew up in Denpasar. She graduated from Brawijaya University in Malang, and began her career as a sales admin staff member in a distribution company. Ibu Devi joined Dyatmika School in 2017 as an IT Administration Officer. She is proud to be a part of Dyatmika’s family.
Ibu Devi loves to cook and try new recipes in her spare time. She also likes watching movies/dramas, reading fiction books, spending time with her family on the weekend, playing with her pets, and doing exercises to keep her body healthy.
Dewi Alam Sari
EYP/Primary School General Administration
Ibu Dewi graduated from the Undiknas (University of National Education) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Finance. She worked in general administration before joining Dyatmika to work in the Primary Office.
In her spare time, Ibu Dewi likes to travel and remains active in social communities.
Ibu Diana joined Dyatmika in 2018 as a Multimedia Assistant after 3 years of working as IT Staff and Video Editor. Born and raised in Bali, she attended college at the University Of Surabaya and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, before moving back to Bali to seek a job.
In her spare time, Ibu Diana likes to binge watch series/movies, build Lego sets and her current interest is assembling plastic toy models. Ibu Diana also enjoys travelling to new places and trying various delicacies.
I.B Denny A. Djodhi
Assistant to Campus Facility Service & Security Manager
Pak Denny has been working as Assistant Manager of Campus Facilities and Security in Dyatmika since 2015. He takes care of all departments’ needs regarding all facilities in the school and enjoys working here. Before that, he worked in some Banks as Project Supervisor and in Marketing.
Pak Denny graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 2004 from Trisakti University, majoring in Civil Engineering. Moreover, he continued his study for a Masters Degree in Jakarta from Indonesia University, majoring in Project Management. During his studies, he worked at a private Bank in Jakarta as project Supervisor, with oversight of projects in Lampung, Bengkulu and Palembang. In addition, Pak Denny is a creative person, he is able to and enjoys drawing site plans and creating technical drawings.
In his spare time, Pak Denny enjoys playing guitar and joins with old friends to perform at events or reunions. Last year he also contributed with a social organisation that takes care of orphans. His favourite pastime is to repair and maintain motorbikes and then ride around Bali. Finally, Pak Denny is a cheerful person whose motto is “always be healthy, be strong and be cheerful”.
Ibu Irin is a dedicated and professional Library Assistant who has worked at Dyatmika since 2015. Falling in love with literature, Ibu Irin graduated from Brawijaya University majoring in English Literature before obtaining her Masters Degree in Literary and Cultural Studies from Airlangga University, Surabaya.
Prior to joining Dyatmika, Ibu Irin worked as part of a pre-opening team at one of Bali’s universities, and it was here that she found that education was the field that she was passionate about. Ibu Irin has a keen interest in literature and technology and this contributes to her success in her role as Library Assistant. She continues to actively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance her skills as librarian.
Ibu Irin enjoys baking in her spare time, teaching herself to bake bread and cakes through discovering new recipes. She also loves to spend time with her little family trying various kid-friendly outdoor activities, enjoying nature or simply just going to her hometown in Singaraja, north Bali.
IT Application Supervisor
Pak Komang was born and grew up in Yogyakarta He attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada and went on to work at a multinational oil company in Riau, Sumatra as a corporate application developer for two years, creating several full-stack web applications. He returned to Bali to get married, and worked as a programmer developing a Java-based Human Resources application for a five-star hotel in Nusa Dua and several other applications. He has been working in the IT department at Dyatmika School for over 18 years.
Pak Komang loves tinkering with electronics and IT things, and also cycling.
Made Sri Pratamawati
Ibu Made was born in Denpasar. She is married and has two children; one girl and one boy. Ibu Made graduated from a Tourism High School and, after graduating she worked in hotels in Bali. Ibu Made is now delighted to work t Dyatmika as a member of the library staff.
Ibu Made loves children and also loves to read. She enjoys working in the library and helping children discover their own passion for books. Her hobby is Balinese dancing and on weekends she usually practises Balinese dance with her daughter. She also enjoys spending time gardening with her husband.
Nyoman Supariati (Komang)
Before joining Dyatmika, Ibu Komang worked in the tourism industry. She joined Dyatmika in December 2000 working as a support staff member then as a library assistant, before moving into the position of receptionist. As she improved her skills and knowledge, she was then promoted to be a part of the Accounting and Finance Department in 2008. At the same time, she also finished her Bachelor’s Degree at a reputable University in Denpasar. Ibu Komang is proud to be a part of the Dyatmika Community.
Ibu Komang is a helpful and friendly person. In her spare time, Bu Komang enjoys exercising with her friends or spending the weekend with her family and relatives. She also enjoys reading novels, listening to music or sometimes hanging out to relax, she is active as a volunteer in the Banjar as one of the waste bank officers.
Purchasing and Assistant to Senior Accountant
Ibu Poppy was born in Malang , East Java. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Finance and Accounting twelve years ago. Before joining Dyatmika in 2019, she worked in different companies, including a furniture company and a spice company.. At Dyatmika she works in Purchasing and as Assistant to the Senior Accountant. She considers Dyatmika to be a great career opportunity, and she works with dedication and professionalism.
Ibu Poppy loves to spend her free time doing simple activities with her beloved husband and son. She also likes to watch movies , or just relax by listening to her favourite music.
IT Infrastructure Supervisor
Pak Putra joined Dyatmika in 2012. Prior to joining Dyatmika he worked as an IT Freelancer in various companies, hotels and campuses. Pak Putra was born in Denpasar and grew up in Tabanan. Pak Putra Graduated from Udayana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
In his spare time Pak Putra likes to spend his free time with family, travelling, hiking, exercising (especially Badminton and running) and cooking.
EYP/ Primary School Office Supervisor
Ibu Rahayu graduated from the Warmadewa University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. Prior to working at Dyatmika School, Ibu Rahayu had experience working in Insurance sales, as a Primary Teacher, as a General Secretary, and as an Office Manager.
Ibu Rahayu has been working as a Primary School Office Supervisor since 2012 at Dyatmika School and likes to be challenged at work, actively seeking to constantly increase her abilities and professionalism.
In her spare time, Ibu Rahayu enjoys making various cakes and bread, cooking, dancing, sewing, gardening, travelling, and joining organisations. Ibu Rahayu also loves children!
High School General Administration
Ibu Rai graduated from Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. She worked as a cashier at a national bank before joining Dyatmika to work in the HIgh School General Administration and as Dapodik Operator at SMP level. She is proud to be a part of the family in Dyatmika and values the relationships and positive vibes within the school.
Ibu Rai loves to spend her leisure time with their family on the beach or just jogging on a car-free day.
High School General Administration
Ibu Rita has been one of the administrative staff of High School at Dyatmika since 2014. She was born and grew up in East Java where she graduated from a public high school in Banyuwangi. She worked in the administration of a shopping mall in Banyuwangi and taught general courses at the elementary school level.
In her spare time, Ibu Rita likes to be active and live a healthy life through painting and exercising as well as travelling to new places and tasting the special cuisines of each place she visits. She enjoys learning about other cultures and languages.
Ibu Sari, born into a mixed Balinese and Javanese family, is originally from Surabaya, East Java. Now, she lives in Denpasar, Bali. Ibu Sari graduated from Surabaya University in 2018, with a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Psychology. Before joining Dyatmika, she worked at a Government Bank in Surabaya in Customer Service.
Raised and born in Bali, Ibu Sila graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the International Tourism Institute in Bali, majoring in Hotel and Hospitality Management. Whilst studying, Ibu Sila worked in the hotel and hospitality sector as a front desk, general secretary, as well as a Barista in Starbucks. She is very proud to be able to join the Dyatmika Community as a receptionist and enjoys meeting and working with the students, parents and teachers.
In her spare time Ibu Sila is happy to spend time with her family caring for her son, travelling, hiking and cooking. She also likes to try new foods and listening to a music
High School Admin Officer
Ibu Srie is from Gianyar but was born and raised in Denpasar. She graduated from the National Education University (Undiknas) Denpasar with a Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management.
Prior to joining Dyatmika School, she worked as the administration staff at a duty free, restaurant, in a lawyer’s office, and in a cellular shop. In 2002 she joined Dyatmika School to work as a High School Admin Officer.
Ibu Srie enjoys spending time with her family on weekends, visiting new places during holidays and culinary tours.
Human Resource and GA Assistant
Born into a mixed Javanese and Balinese family, Sruti was raised and grew up in Semarang, Central Java. She completed the Diploma in the Politeknik Negeri Semarang in 2017, majoring in Economics and finishing the Bachelor of Economics Management in Denpasar. Currently she is pursuing a Masters of Management postgraduate program in Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Bali. She believes that improving education and learning is the key to living a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Ibu Sruti is delighted to be part of the Dyatmika community since 2013, working as an administration staff member. She began working in the front office and enrolment before moving into Human Resources and General Affairs. Before joining Dyatmika, she worked in Corporate Sales & Marketing in the biggest English training institution in Bali.
During leisure time, Ibu Sruti loves travelling, going to the beach and exploring Bali’s natural heritage with her family. Sruti is really enthusiastic to learn and appreciate the cultural heritage that exists in Bali that she never learned before. Ibu Sruti enjoys singing especially with other people and her family.
Ibu Sukma was born in Denpasar and grew up in Gianyar. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree at Udayana University in the English Department and began her career in non-formal education for almost 4 years as a Course Consultant and Corporate Language Training at EF (English First) Bali. She was also experienced in customer service, marketing and office administration before the move to Dyatmika in 2015 where she now works as an Enrolment Officer.
At the weekend, Ibu Sukma loves to spend her time with her family, exercising and cooking (she loves Balinese cuisine).
General Cashier and Tax
Ibu Suseni was born and raised in Singaraja. She started her career in an apparel manufacturing company after finishing her studies at university majoring in accounting. She has been working at Dyatmika School since 2009, as a general cashier and in tax accounting. Whilst working at Dyatmika she received an opportunity to improve her skills in taxes and has completed her brevet certificate.
Ibu Suseni is a friendly and helpful person. She has three daughters and she is very happy to spend time with her family on the weekends. She also likes to read fiction books and listen to her favourite music.
Ibu Tri joined Dyatmika on 2018 years as an admin staff member and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Education from Mahasaraswati University. She started her career in Dyatmika as a Receptionist and having proven to be a receptive and enthusiastic person, was then promoted to the position of Enrolment Officer. Ibu Tri is committed to the development of effective administration and procedures in her field and her own professional administration.
In her spare time, Ibu Tri loves watching movies, listening to up-to-date music/songs, spending time with her family during the weekend, and staying active to keep her body healthy through exercise.
Pak Rena was born and raised in Denpasar and graduated from a private high school in Denpasar. He worked at Bali Festival park before joining Dyatmika in 2001 as a gardener, moving into the role of Gardener Coordinator a few years later. Following this, he then took on the challenge of working in the Admin Department as an office assistant until now. He enjoys working there to help and provide services for the Dyatmika community.
Pak Rena spends his free time painting, gardening, and fishing. On weekends he usually enjoys spending time with his small family and enjoys painting.
