On Wednesday, 13 November 2019, TK went on a field trip to Desa Visesa, Ubud. We participated in many fun activities related to the natural environment. When we arrived the Desa Visesa team splashed us with tirta (holy water) and put bija (holy rice) on our forehead as a welcoming and blessing ceremony. After that, we trekked into a Permaculture area where we saw many kinds of plants.

Pak Nyoman, our team leader, told us the name and the function of certain plants. We had a chance to plant eggplant seeds and harvest long beans. We also got the opportunity to feed some animals, including horses, ducks and roosters.

The most exciting activities were egg hunting and ploughing with Pak Tani’s cows. What an unforgettable experience!
