Camp has always been an exciting experience for students and this year Dyatmika’s Class 11 and 12 students participated in the Senior Camp at Baliwoso, Bangli on 15 – 16 August. The objective of the camp was to create an inseparable bond between senior classes 11, 12 and 12UN as well as welcoming new students into our school community.
Upon arrival we had the task of setting up our own tents. We were then divided into teams and participated in some fun team-building activities such as egg throwing and pictionary. The teams were also challenged to create their own scrumptious meals for dinner. The group that won the cooking showdown made delicious chicken teriyaki with curry as well as sushi rolls and finished it off with simple but tasty fried oreos! We had a plethora of mouth-watering dishes to sample including Korean bulgogi, crème brŭlée and tasty pasta dishes. Everyone had happy tummies afterwards.
In the evening, each team was given a specific fashion style such as ‘punk’ or ‘futuristic’ and was asked to design an outfit out of the recyclable materials provided. The fashion parade that followed displayed excellent creativity as well as some exceptional modelling talents!
The rest of the evening was filled with songs and roasted marshmallows, accompanied by the heartfelt strums of guitars, where students bonded with each other around the warmth of the campfire, making memories that will be cherished forever.
The next morning involved two hours of exhilarating rafting down 12 kilometres of the beautiful Ayung River with Mason Adventures before returning to Dyatmika.
