On Saturday 22nd October we held a ceremony to celebrate Saraswati Day and were joined by staff, students, parents and neighbours.
Saraswati Day is a traditional Balinese day to celebrate the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. The name Saraswati is obtained from two local Balinese words: sara and swaandthi. The two words translate to mean ‘the one who has all knowledge’ or ‘the one who gives meaning’.
We look forward to the next Saraswati Day in May 2023.
