In last week’s Science lesson, Primary Prep Y really enjoyed their time exploring with their Five Senses. It started with an active class discussion about what our five senses are, then they made crafted binoculars to take when walking around the school.

While walking together to the playground, wantilan and the soccer field, they are busy hunting for various things that appeal to their five senses. Look what they found! Beautifully colored flowers, millipede caterpillars, beetles, spiders, snail eggs, grasshoppers and crabs! Not to be missed, on their way back to class they excitedly pointed at a bunch of bananas hanging from a banana tree near a neighbor’s rice field. It’s fun to learn and explore directly from the surrounding nature.
