A big welcome back to all of our family and friends at Dyatmika for the beginning of the new school year, 2019/2020.
Sadly, as we all know, Pak Craig is one of our friends that will not be with us. Whilst we will miss him enormously, I also know that he is watching with pride as we all settle down and get on with our teaching and learning.
It has been great to see this week the number of parents attending the Parent Information Sessions. The teachers work hard to prepare for every school year and it makes a huge difference when they are fully supported by the parents. I was also pleased to see each class selecting their Class Parent Reps. I look forward to working with them this year.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the Independence Day Activity Morning last week. Thank you to Ibu Martha and Ibu Nina for organising the activities and it is always a great way to start the year. Celebrating a national holiday, particularly Independence Day, allows us all to feel proud that we live in this beautiful country, whether we were born here or we choose to live and work here. Our sentiments are very similar.
