The final day of school for the year is over and so much has happened within our school community recently. In the last two weeks we had our Sports Day and again, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Well done to all the students and a big thank you to Ibu Esther and her team for organising it so well.
Last week at assembly, the staff spoke to the children about the changes to the extracurricular programme for primary students next year. The changes are all very exciting and positive and we hope that overall, the students engage much more actively in the activities. Well done to Class 1 students this year for their enthusiasm and participation in the programme.
Last Tuesday, 11 June 2019, the Primary students had their first ever Primary Presentation Morning, when the school community gathered to celebrate the diversity and balance in our school curriculum and to acknowledge student effort and achievement in those areas. Any opportunity we have to celebrate student achievement is always a great event.
Thank you to members of the school community who have made my first year at Dyatmika so positive. Change is sometimes difficult, so I appreciate how gradually the community have taken on board some of those changes that essentially are about enhancing good teaching and learning practices, such as attendance, that engage our students more appropriately.
Lastly, I would to thank all the staff at Dyatmika, including the Admin teams, that help to make our lives a little bit each day. I particularly want to thank and congratulate the teaching team in EYP/ Primary for a wonderful year. You continue to inspire your students each and every day and make coming to school a joy for them, and to be honest, me too.
I wish all the students a happy holiday and a special mention to our Class 5 students who will come back next year as High School students. Stay safe everyone in whatever it is you will be doing over the next few weeks.
