This December – We Will Rock You!
I am very pleased to announce that this December, Dyatmika will be staging our own production of the hit musical ‘We Will Rock You’. We have completed auditions now and the cast are very excited about performing one of the biggest selling musicals ever produced, here in our school. The story is a comedy set in a future where live music has been banned by the evil Killer Queen, and a group of school kids are fighting back to restore live music to the planet. The script is written by Ben Elton and features 22 songs by the Band Queen. Rehearsals are starting soon and the show will run for four nights, from 2nd – 5th December. Bali Schools Battle of the Bands 2019
Last Friday night 13 of our fantastic young musicians took to the stage in the annual Bali Schools Battle of the Bands. The event was a really wonderful showcase of the amazing talents that exists in schools across the island with an incredibly high standard of musicianship this year. Both of Dyatmika’s bands performed very well and gave their all to the performance, even in the face of some technical hitches. A very well done to our well established band Nismara who came a very respectable third place with a performance of Sunflower. Also well done to new up-and-coming band One Problem Solved who showed so much potential with their exciting renditions of Melompat Lebih Tinggi and Black Hole Sun.
