This year, Dyatmika School is further developing the House system and student leadership skill. Our staff Heads of House (pictured below) are working with a student team of House Captains, and their Homeroom Captains to raise the profile of the houses, and enrich our school community with more inter-house events and competitions.
Several programmes and activities are already being organised, including the completion of Homeroom and House Captain selection, inter-house competitions in the form of mini-games during lunch break, and using the house groups to promote our 2 weeks of conservation and climate change workshops. There is also collaboration with teachers from Primary related to the House system and student leadership development in Primary. In conclusion, Sekolah Dyatmika will have a House Captain for each house in Primary and High School.
Two students from each Homeroom have been chosen as Homeroom Captains. The elected Homeroom Captains were announced during the assembly on 6 September 2019.
The next step was choosing overall House Captains and Vice Captain from the Homeroom Captains. A questionnaire was sent, where applicants answered questions related to the organisation, leadership and the role of the House Captain. The selected House Captain is a representative of each House. All of these leadership roles will see students involved in organising and leading events and competitions across the school.
