All 54 students from Class 6 went on camp for two days and one night on 22-23 August 2019 under the supervision of 6 teachers: Ibu Karen, Ibu Clara, Ibu Yani, Pak Conor, Pak PhilS and Pak Ridzki. First, we went to Kebun Putu where (barefoot) we learnt how to play angklung as the first activity. After that, we divided into three groups for additional activities including: archery, spear/javelin, and (non-contact) punching/kicking as well as the traditional game of Rangku Alu. Next, we walked through the rice paddy fields to find hot springs in the river and went for a dip to cool off. Lunches were served with environmentally friendly cutlery – no plastic in sight!

Perkemahan Kampoeng Peneng was our campsite for the night. The mud pillow fights were a big hit! The warm atmosphere around the campfire with marshmallows and performances made our bond even tighter.

We came back happy after having had so much fun, and managed to form new friendships along the way. The teachers were so impressed with the way the students collaborated and helped each other, showing leadership and maturity
