Class 5 is learning about Indonesian kingdoms and history in Integrated lessons. On 19 February, we took a trip to Taman Nusa, located in Gianyar regency. We spent the day meandering through the cultural park, giving us a sense of many regions of Indonesia.

The villages are replicas of those one would encounter in Sulawesi, West Java, Papua, and some other islands. There are over 70 traditional houses and buildings, some of which are over 100 years old! We were able to observe and participate in many activities including arts, crafts, dance, music, and storytelling. The park’s resources represent the Prehistoric Era all the way up to the Present Day and beyond. We learned about various ethnic groups who call Indonesia home and felt lucky to enjoy the stunning natural scenery around every corner.
