Over the last few weeks, Social Sciences have had a wider reading focus, in order to encourage students to read around their subject and for enjoyment. During this focus, students have had the opportunity to hear Pak Ben read from his recommended read, pick up a special reading list bookmark and collect rewards for completing a book review on a book from the selection. Students have also been gaining stamps and quick points for using the Social Sciences keyword ‘characteristics’ in lessons across subjects and even in assembly!
This week sees the start of the Mathematics department Reading Focus. The book list and book review template are available again in Engage; please do encourage your child to have a go at this reading challenge!
