Happy New Year Parents and Friends!

Last month on 10-11 December, we carried out our giving initiative, Project Kasih. With the help of the charitable donations by all parents, the Christmas Carol event at High School and the spirit of giving by students across all ages, we were able to raise over 18 million Rupiah for Panti Asuhan Salam, Eben Haezer and give school equipment and requested donations to each orphanage.

The children were really grateful and it has been an honour for us to give back to the communities in Bali. Through this, we wanted to spread the festive season to the community beyond Dyatmika and teach Executive Student Council members to develop an understanding and compassion to help those in need.

Carrying this momentum forward, by the time you’ve received this newsletter, we will be celebrating Dyatmika’s first-ever Chinese New Year. By inviting Barongsai and Wushu performers to our school, we are hoping this will align with Dyatmika’s Learner Profile of being ‘globally and civic-minded individuals’ to develop cultural awareness from traditions beyond the confines of our island.

Following this, we will be carrying out our Town Hall Event, Valentine’s Day and Teacher Appreciation Day in February and we have something big brewing in March, so stay tuned.
