STAY ACTIVE, STAY HEALTHY
At this time it is more important than ever to stay active. Daily physical activity will have significant benefits on both your physical and mental health during this time, and it should become a regular part of your daily routine. Children and young people should be doing at least 60 minutes of physical activity everyday.
The good news is that all of you have everything you need to get moving and keep learning at home. You already have all of the skills, tools and knowledge you need to keep your body and mind healthy. There are lots of resources online that can give you ideas and you can also use the PE at Home lessons from your Google Classroom to revisit activities.
Online resources:
- Cosmic yoga – Fun yoga workouts aimed at younger children.
- UJU fitness videos – a range of fitness games that the younger students love.
- Glenn Higgins Fitness – Great themed children’s workouts
- The Body Coach – Lots of ‘PE with Joe’ workouts designed for both children and adults.
- Just Dance – Choose a Just Dance video and follow along. You could even create your own for your friends to follow.
- Darebee – Have a go at the Daily Dare, the Workout of the Day, or search for your own workout.
- Fitness Blender – A huge selection of follow along workouts.
