Armchair travel is when we learn about other countries without having to actually travel there. lbu Lia sometimes invites another teacher and they tell us about the cool adventures they had around the world. Sometimes they talk about street food they have eaten or what religions there are in that country. So far we’ve learned so much.
One of the countries we learned about was Ethiopia. It was very interesting. lbu Julie told us stories about when she lived there and how the capital has grown into a modern place since she’s left. Plus many more stories about her time there. Many students joined Armchair Travel this semester.
I hope more get inspired to join and learn about other countries and their cultures. Tell your friends in SD about Armchair Travel Team or sign up next term.
