She taught us the 2 main options for drawing a map: a map with borders or a map with an island. Also, we learned about how important naming the places are and how it can affect the reader. For example, what does the name \u2018The Hissing Stones\u2019 conjure in your mind?<\/p>\n<p>After we were done getting introduced to some of the examples, we started planning our own Maps. We had time to think for a few minutes and then started drawing.<\/p>\n<p>I was sad because of how quickly time passed on the lesson. I think the experience was really fun and was good to try.
