During the holiday we were challenged to read books from the adventure genre and we could express our creativity by making reading responses based on the book we read. These responses can come in many different forms, such as maps of the setting, storyboards, drawings and character profiles. The purpose of this activity is to keep us, students, active in reading during the holidays.\r\n\r\nWe enjoyed reading over the holiday and we also enjoyed crafting, making, and assembling the reading responses. By doing this challenge, it\u2019s wonderful to see how much we can remember or imagine just by reading a book.\r\n\r\nKeira read many books but she chose to make a storyboard based on the book \u2018The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne. Meanwhile, Zaniel chose to read the book \u2018Call of the Wild\u2019 by Jack London and created a 3D map of the setting in the book.\r\n\r\nBy completing this challenge, we learnt that reading allows us to be more creative and to think outside the box. If we put effort and passion into our work, we can achieve excellence.\r\n\r\nBelow is one example of a reading response that Ava 8Y produced.\r\n\r\n \r\n
