A huge thank you and congratulations is extended to everyone who has embraced HBL. When speaking with the students, with the staff and at parent workshops, I usually refer to a phrase, “Life-long learning”. This is a perfect example of learning new skills and adapting what we perceive as being normal. Home-Based Learning has certainly had its challenges. However, what helps us all get through it, in whatever role that may be, a student, a teacher, a parent, globally we know we are not alone. This is not something isolated to Bali. When I see parents on Monday morning picking up the Learning Packs and very occasionally one of the students, it reminds me that in these times of isolation, we are actually as close and as supportive of each other as we have ever been. Thank you.

It has been a difficult term of course. I know many of us are still coming to grips with the fact that Ibu Lia is not with us anymore. I can say to you all that the Barton family in Canada have been absolutely touched by the messages, photos and pictures that were sent to them. I know the loss of Ibu Lia in these circumstances has been more than difficult. Grieving is often a shared response and we have not been able to do that. I, like many of you I suspect, am still thinking of her every day. Ibu Lia would be very proud, particularly with Classes 4 and 5, in the way that they are tackling HBL and putting their best efforts in and continuing to try their best. We all miss you Ibu Lia but I think we all know that you will always be with us.
