Science
For Science, Classes 9-10 follow the Cambridge International (CIE) Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award) programme which leads to 2 IGCSEs. This course covers all three Science subjects – Biology, Chemistry and Physics and each is taught by a specialist teacher.
In each of these subjects, the students will learn about a broad range of topics. They will build on their prior knowledge from Classes 6-8 and their understanding of scientific concepts will deepen.
Practicals are integrated into the course at every opportunity and there is a practical component to the assessments at the end of Class 10. The students will develop their critical thinking skills and there will be an increasing emphasis on the planning, analysis and evaluation of investigations. The exams at the end of the course have one multiple-choice examination, one written answer examination and an assessment of practical skills.
